No grass, shade, or tables, but your $25 gets you a friendly greeting, good power and water, and a safe place to spend the night. Yes, the trains are noisy, but this is a park that doesn't claim to be a resort.  Basically a gravel parking lot with hookups.  Good Verizon Aircard and cell service. Easy in/out on a short gravel road. We'd stay here again if necessary.  No cable TV, but no trees, either.  Verizon cell and Aircard worked well.  Not many places out here, this is probably as good as it gets.  Western Star RV Ranch

This is an old KOA, most of which appears to be used by permanent residents. Sites for transients are just long enough for a 40' MH and tow, and are close together and facing in alternate directions. Dirt roads are tree lined, and some sites have trees that will impact slide-outs. When I mentioned to the owner/manager that a tree was very close to one of my slides, he was quick to visit the site and offered to cut the branch. No cable TV or WiFi, and getting a clear shot at the satellite may be difficult. The park is located in a residential area but is easy to access. The location is quiet and provides easy access to shopping and sightseeing around Wichita. $26/night with Good Sam discount.  All Seasons RV Park
