Boot Hill RV Park, Alamogordo NM
Stay Date: March 2009
Our Rating: GOOD – 9
This park has quickly become the class park of Alamogordo; spacious, well-laid out sites are separated by a rail fence, the facilities are immaculate, and the owners go out of their way to ensure a great stay. All gravel, no trees or tables yet, and the water is really hard; but these are offset by the easy access to local attractions and the family atmosphere. No cable TV but unobstructed view of the satellite. Free WiFi worked well and Verizon cell and Aircard worked well also. Besides White Sands NM, the Sacramento Mountains offer an observatory tour, large Indian Casino, shopping, and wildlife viewing. Three Rivers Petroglyph site, Valley of the Fires, and Lincoln Historic Site are all great spots to visit from the park. Free admission to musical events and the pot luck dinners where we made new friends were highlights of our visit. This is a nice park with likewise exceptional owners and a reasonable price of $28/night. Boot Hill RV Resort
