Stay Date: March 2014
Our Rating: GOOD – 9
This park is our stay of choice when traveling in/out of the San Antonio area. A former KOA, the park is easily accessed from I-10, is gated for security, and gives a 20% discount to military veterans. An escort is provided to you site, and pull-thrus are level, good sized, and have a shaded patio, furniture, grill, and fire pit – a nice touch. Located along the Llano River, there are large trees throughout the park but none obstructed our rooftop satellite. Verizon Cell and data were good but sometimes slow. Cable TV and WiFi were free and worked well. Propane is available, and there’s a small store in the office. Our only complaint is that the interior roads are very dusty, and our car and rear of the motor home were covered by the time we were parked. The couple that manage the park are very professional and friendly. Junction doesn’t have much to offer other than fast-food along the interstate, but it’s a convenient fuel stop with two truck stops at the exit. $31.50/night with discount.
