Stay Date: Sept 2013
Our Rating: GOOD – 8
Staying here is the best of the two worlds of camping and RV living. Most sites are good-sized and separated by trees, and all have tables, cooking tables, and fire rings. Power and water were both good, and a dump station is located on the exit route. Rooftop satellites will be a problem with all of the trees, but we were able to find a site that worked with our tripod and portable dish. Verizon cell was strong, but data was weak and intermittent. Even on a crowded Labor Day weekend, the park was quiet at night. Easy access from the main road, interior roads are paved and sites, all back-in, are hard packed dirt and gravel. A great place to stay, and an unbeatable value at $11/night with the Senior Pass. Bandit’s Roost COE Park
After nine years of living on the road, we've decided to share our opinion on the many parks and resorts we've stayed at - hopefully to help you decide where to stay and avoid our mistakes!

Creekwood Farm RV Park, Waynesville NC
Stay Date: June 2009
Our Rating: GOOD –9
Wow - what a beautifully maintained park and at a Passport America rate! At arrival we were checked in by very professional staff and led to our site. The level, gravel sites have a patio area, table, and manicured grass with some shade. Sites are not huge but are large enough to extend slides and awning without feeling cramped. The free cable TV was excellent, and although the park has no WiFi, Verizon cell and Aircard service was very good. Lots of trees, but still had a clear shot at the satellite. The park is surrounded by hills and forest and is quiet and dark at night. Disneyland could take landscaping lessons from these people, and the Passport America rate of $17.50 was outstanding.
