Kit Fox RV Park, Patterson CA

Stay Date:  Nov 2018

Our Rating:  GOOD –7

Kit Fox1Easy access from the interstate and professional check in. Paved interior roads, level and long pull-thrus with convenient hookups. Cable TV was limited, adequate OTA channels, and Kit Fox2no obstructions to satellites. Sites are close together, no table or grass. Verizon cell and Wi-Fi was strong, park Wi-Fi spotty. Significant noise from trucks due to Kit Fox3the huge terminal in back of the park. OK for an overnight at the PA rate; wouldn't stay here at the full rate.  Passport America rate $24/night.  Kit Fox RV Park

RV Park at Rolling Hills Casino, Corning CA

Stay Date:  Nov 2018

Our Rating:  GOOD –8

Corning Rolling Hills1Located behind a casino, check in is to the left of the entry at the "welcome center". Check in was efficient and friendly, and we were fortunate to have a reservation since the parkCorning Rolling Hills2 was full due to nearby wildfire evacuations. Paved interior roads are in need of repair, sites are all gravel pull-thrus, fairly level and very close although Corning Rolling Hills3separated by shrubs. Hookups were conveniently placed. No working Wi-Fi but Verizon cell/data were strong. No cable TV, some OTA channels, and no obstructions to satellites. Quiet at night with occasional truck noise from the nearby station. Nice casino with average food. A good overnight choice with easy access to I-5.  The location makes the $35/night acceptable.  RV Park at Rolling Hills Casino

Hi-Way Haven RV Park, Sutherlin OR

Stay Date:  Nov 2018

Our Rating:  GOOD – 9

Hi-Way Haven2This is a large, well-maintained and professionally staffed park that is a bargain at the Passport America rate. Access from I-5 is easy, and interior roads are Hi-Way Haven3wide and paved. Sites are long, level gravel, fairly close, but each has a small fenced patio area complete with table and chairs. Check in was quick and friendly. The drive-in movie screen wasn't being used during our stay, but would beHi-Way Haven1 an attractive feature. Park WiFi was spotty, but Verizon Cell/Data was strong. The cable TV was adequate and there were a few OTA channels. Most sites have no obstructions to the TV satellites. The propane price was reasonable and access was easy. Lots of long term residents, but sites were well kept.  Another great Passport America park, $23/night.  Hi-Way Haven RV Park

Blue Ox RV Park, Albany OR

Stay Date: Sep 2018

Our Rating:  GOOD – 9

An interesting park - more of a mobile home park populated by RVs. Many permanent residents, but with nicely landscaped lots. Short term guests have paved, level pull-thrus with grass and trees. Sites are close together, and interior roads have to be navigated slowly. Nice indoor pool, spotless laundry(s), and friendly residents. Good WiFi, OTA TV, and clear shot at satellites. Verizon cell/data were good. Close to I-5 and shopping/dining. A very nice park.  $37/Night  Blue Ox RV Park

Korte’s Checkers Welcome Campground, Welcome MN

Stay Date:  Sep 2018

Our Rating:  GOOD – 9

A comfortable park with friendly staff, level pull-thrus, and plenty of shade. We wish more campgrounds were like this - easy in and out, good facilities, and a very reasonable price. The WiFi worked well, OTA TV was adequate, and Verizon cell/data was strong. Quiet and peaceful, our preferred park when traveling in the area.  Passport America Rate $23/Night.  Korte’s Checkers Welcome Campground

3 Fingers Campground, Forest City IA

Stay Date:  Sept 2018

A short drive west of town, this seasonal park has a number of long, level pull-thru sites for short term guests. The host was friendly and helpful, and access into the site was easy. Hookups were conveniently placed, some OTA TV channels, and fair WiFi. Verizon cell/data were strong. The preferred park when waiting for service in Forest City.  $40/Night  3 Fingers Campground
