Stay Date: Numerous, last stay May 2012
Our Rating: GOOD – 9
We’ve always enjoyed our stay here. Friendly check-in, paved roads and sites, a short walk or shuttle ride to the casino, and reasonable prices. This time we opted for a back-in site, they’re much wider and ours had a view of the bay. Hookups all worked well, and the WiFi was fair depending on how many people were using it, and cable TV was good. Verizon cell and data service were good. Although just off Highway 101, the park is quiet at night. The park price includes use of the hotel pool, hot tub, etc. The casino is one of our favorites; fairly loose slots, a very good restaurant, and an excellent seafood buffet on Sat/Sun, and an never failing friendly staff. The park requires pads under your jacks, but if you don’t have them, they’ll loan you some. Convenient to shopping in North Bend/Coos Bay with a Super Wal-Mart close by. Always a great stay. Good Sam nightly rate of $33/night. Mill Casino RV Park

Timber Valley SKP Park, Southerlin OR
Stay Date: May 2-12
Our Rating: 8 – GOOD
This is an Escapees members-only park where travelers are rented the sites of absent owners. All sites are large, graveled, and most are only slightly improved. Utilities are all good, the free cable TV was excellent, and Verizon cell and data coverage was good. Located at the end of a street just outside of Sutherlin, the surrounding area is heavily treed and the park is quiet with no road noise. Wildlife abounds; expect to be visited by the resident Jackrabbits, Wild Turkey, and deer. Residents are Escapee-friendly and travelers are invited to participate in all of the park activities. No restrooms or showers, so self-contained RVs only. A nice laundry with reasonable prices, and an extensive clubhouse with library. Sutherlin doesn’t offer much but the basics, but Roseburg, 10 miles south on the interstate has everything you need. Nightly rate around $20/night, monthly $375 plus electric. Timber Valley SKP Park
